KEEP IT ICE COLD

KEEP IT MOVING

There is a bag full of costumes.

I carry it with me into every new home, every new encounter.

I hear their compliments but only a few really touch me.

The ones that stick, I messily pack into my washed denim pocket, ready to pull on those hard days where I forget who I am.

I mean, we can’t do everything alone.

I am so vain.

I am so vain.

But I love my costumes.

I speak to my vanity like the ‘other woman’ who I’ve befriended. Sometimes, she is all I got to keep it ice cold, to keep it moving.
